They're in Maryland?!? I Thought They Were Going to PA?

Today Karl and Mo finished up the Great Allegheny Trail in Cumberland, MD.  They road a total of 51 miles and this section of trail had to be the best so far.  There was about 17 miles of downhill trail from Frostburg to Cumberland.

There is a steam engine that travels from Cumberland to Frostburg that they stopped to take some pictures of.  One of the guides at the train station told them that a lot of cyclists will take the train from Cumberland to Frostburg just to ride their bikes back down to Cumberland.

Today they went across the Eastern Continental Divide.  (Remember we talked about the Great Continental Divide a couple of weeks ago when the boys were in New Mexico.)  They went over some high bridges and had excellent scenery.  And the best part was that this trail was well maintained.  Did I mention they were in Maryland? :-)

Ok, so maybe there is something that is better than the trail.  And, that would be that Karl had a guest in his hotel room for the evening.  Now before you go getting all excited and calling his wife, please know that the guest IS his wife Linda.  Like I said, nothing will keep the lovebirds apart.  And, now that she's only a couple of hours away, it makes it a lot easier to have a "secret" rendezvous.  Hmmm, I guess it's not so secret anymore.

I'll keep you posted again tomorrow!
