Home Sweet Home

Well, the boys finally made it home.  They rode 64 miles today from Jefferson, MD to Cross Keys, PA.  They went to Cross Keys because that is about 1/2 way between their houses.  At Lunch they stopped in Littlestown to visit Karl's parents and have lunch at the Firehouse Grill.  There was rumor that our Dad paid for them, but I don't have confirmation on that.

Mo's family and friends met the guys at Conewago Chapel to give them  Welcome Home wishes.  They came armed with cow bells and lots of cheers.  Then they also met them in New Oxford with a Banner that said "Karl and Mo's Big Adventure...San Diego to New Oxford".  What a nice surprise to be cheered on like that.  Afterwards they all went to Mc Donalds for dessert.

They both missed the rain again today.  Karl had stopped by Linda's work at about 245pm, and it was getting dark, but it didn't rain until after he got home.  I asked Karl if he had weighed himself, and he had.  He lost a WHOPPING pound or two!  He thought for sure he would've gained weight since he "ate like a horse".

Total mileage for Karl and Mo's Big Adventure was 3175 miles.  And other than a light rain 3 miles from Pittsburgh, they stayed dry.  What an adventure of a lifetime.  This will certainly be something that they will remember forever.  Come back soon to see some pictures Karl will be sending me.  I'll post them as soon as I have them.

Have you given your bicycle love lately?
