Sorry this is a little late. This post is for Monday.
I spoke to Karl last night while he was in the middle of doing laundry. It's extremely important to remain "Spring Time Fresh" while you're biking. It's even more important for the person who has to ride behind you.
Karl and Mo woke up Monday morning at the B&B and had french toast and sausage. It had rained pretty hard during the middle of the night so the Katy trail was very wet. The road was close to the trail, so they rode on it for about 15 miles to allow the trail to dry a little.
Once they were on the trail they peddled all the way to St Charles, MO. For a total of 75 miles. They are currently finished with the trail and as of Monday night they were about 22 miles from St. Louis.
Monday was a pretty dreary day for riding. There were a few showers off and on, but never enough to get them soaked. They were planning on spending today (Tuesday) in St. Louis to do a little sightseeing. I'll update the blog as soon as I can.
